Welcome back for week two of the Fall One Room Challenge. This week, it’s all about my vision for the spaces. Last week, I expressed that the main goal is to have the living and dining spaces flow with the entryway I transformed during the Spring 2022 ORC; today I’m excited to share my design boards with you.
The first space you enter after walking into our home is the dining area.
The plan is to carry the same paint color that is in the entryway throughout the rest of the room. I’m even going to use most of the furniture that is already in the space. I have quite a bit of refinishing and recovering in my future. Now let’s move on to the living/family area.
Here is a sneak peek at the rug and the fabric selections. Of course, everything will be brought together with millwork, drapes and accessories. (My shoes are even similar to chair selection.)
Yes, the majority of the fabrics are lighter in tone. But they are all performance fabrics, with the majority being from Crypton. Also, got to have a touch of black to ground each space. Once everything is in the space, I believe it will blend seamlessly with the entryway and I cannot wait for that moment.
In reality, we are knee deep into transforming the foundation of the two spaces. Thankfully with a week of the challenge in the rearview, afew of the major items have been checked off the list. Painting is done, most of the millwork has been applied, and we’ve even changed one of the light fixture. Also, one big ticket item that I was holding my breath on should be delivered next week!!! Hallelujah.
That being said, there is still a ton of other items to get checked off the list:

Love your choices! I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together.
Thank you so much!!!!
I love your choices and can’t wait to see how it turns out. Those chocolate velvet chairs are to die for. Have you thought about a sisal rug? It would add so much texture and those fake orientals have been on trend for awhile now. Just a thought as what you chose is very pretty.
Thank you!! I wish I could get my husband on board with a sisal or I would definitely have one in the space. He thinks they’re uncomfortable to lay on and we’re constantly on the floor with our four year old.
